From when word first broke out about Project xCloud to the near release of the service for Android last autumn, Gears of War developer The Coalition issued a brief look at other plans it had. In that, the game studio presented a glimpse of its work for touch screen controls of Gears 5 for the cloud streaming initiative. While little was said on what other game would receive the support, it was interesting to see The Coalition pioneer the new initiative.
Noted, Microsoft is fully aware on how much touch screen controls are a new standard when playing mobile. Despite xCloud being aimed towards a demographic of console players, it decided to push for the peripheral when launching support solely for Minecraft Dungeons. As a result, it was said by Mojang Studios to Windows Central through about 40 percent of users on the game via xCloud played the on-screen controls.
From the latest Xbox Game Pass update for October 2021, Microsoft shares that now more than 100 titles are playable via touch screen controls. You can read the full list below:
