THQ Nordic To Host Ten-Year Anniversary Showcase This Month, To Feature “The Return Of Legendary Franchises”

In the state of things currently over at THQ Nordic, the firm has proven to be a industry powerhouse with the amount of acquisitions made by the publisher itself or parent company, Embracer Group. Not too long ago, it was breaking news to reveal that the Embracer Group purchases 3D Realms. The acquisition announcement also included an assortment of other small teams as well at the time.

But nearly ten years since the founding of THQ Nordic, the firm is planning to celebrate its presence with a scheduled showcase later in September. Atop of establishing profitable IPs since its founding like Wreckfest, Biomutant, and Fade to Silence, the firm has went on to revive beloved releases like Destroy All Humans! & Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated.

The firm uploaded a new video showcasing its projects and nods at more fruitful years to come leading forward. You can watch the footage in the video below:

“The showcase will be hosted by Geoff Keighley, executive producer and host of The Game Awards, and will feature six new games. Witness the return of legendary franchises and sequels to beloved games. We hope you are ready, kids!” THQ Nordic pens in the trailer’s description. Gathered by the wording at the end of the paragraph, it is suspected another potential Spongebob Squarepants game will be revealed perhaps.

THQ Nordic does also indicate other memorable IPs are being revitalized as well. Going off a previous report from earlier in the year, there is still hope brewing for a new TimeSplitters game.
