It is no mystery that the original Red Dead Redemption title from 2010 never made its way to PC for the plethora of players on the platform as fans are still waiting for the game to arrive. Now with the October-released follow- up sequel, some speculate it might be different this time around for PC to receive the Rockstar-developed western action title sometime in the coming future.
As fans have already discovered traces of the game pointing towards a PC release through the title’s respected companion app, another finding of the game coming to the platform has been found this time through the source code for the Rockstar Social Club.
Twitter user @JakoMako51 shared the this new discovery recently where one line of code reads “RDR2_PC_Accomplishment,”which lit the fuse for hope that Red Dead Redemption 2 could possibly come to PC at some point soon.
The fact that Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to PC is now quite evident. #RDR2 #reddeadredemption2pc #RedDeadRedemption2 #rdr2pc #reddeadredemption

Following the post though, Rockstar has yet to respond if the game is truly coming to PC or at the least planned for a release in the future. But looking that this is the second time a potential hint towards a port has been found, it does give more footing to possibly be true: all that is left is to wait until an official announcement for the PC version has arrived. Looking that Rockstar does not follow a specific reveal schedule, this could happen at any time really.
Do you think Rockstar Games is working on bringing Red Dead Redemption 2 to PC?
Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently out now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
