For Capcom’s ambitions with the Ace Attorney IP, the Japanese publisher remains quiet on exploring new possibilities for the franchise. Just last year the firm featured a 20th anniversary celebration with an orchestral performance of soundtracks throughout the games that released. But, future installments are left undetermined. Takeshi Yamazaki who directed the latest two entries for Ace Attorney (Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice) departed from Capcom back in 2020.

The firm in the discovery of the new did not disclose its plans moving forward for Ace Attorney. However, excitement swelled with a listing for The Great Ace Attorney online. In that, the two Japanese-exclusive releases were expected to be made into a duology collection with hopes of a western release. And that later happened to be true releasing in the summer that same year.

Now similarly we witness the same for what could potentially be coming for other Ace Attorney titles. From @tmark365, Capcom has filed a trademark in Japan for ‘Apollo Justice’ which could be a new trilogy.

More specifically, this could signify the remaining mainline games to be coming to the latest consoles. This includes Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Spirit of Justice. The significance of this is spruced from speculation and with the titular character Apollo starring in all three titles.

In terms of other anticipated collections from Capcom, the firm previously hinted at plans to celebrate Mega Man: Battle Network. The firm in response to the quiet 20th anniversary for the side series told to be patient with more on the way. You can read the full report by heading here.
