Legacy IP for Ubisoft is at its forefront when it comes to its largest franchises. Entries like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla & Rainbow Six Siege strand from original releases that predate more than a decade ago. However, the firm is looking to also reinvent its DNA with new projects as well. For one, Splinter Cell is currently being remade and will be sometime before we see gameplay of that.
Noted, Ubisoft does plan to host its own showcase later this September. As for the plans on the way, there is no tangible evidence the reboot is attending. But, there is one confirmed project slated for that month. In that, the next entry in the Assassin’s Creed series will be revealed then. Moreover, there is more planned for that month.
On the matter of legacy releases, the firm is planning to shutdown servers for more classic titles. Just last June, the firm did the same for a dozen or so titles then too. You can read the full list below:

“Closing the online services for some older games allows us to focus our resources on delivering great experiences for players who are playing newer or more popular titles,”the blog post reads. “To help us achieve this, a number of older titles will be added to our list of decommissioned online services on 1 September 2022.”
In terms of where resources are heading with these servers to be closed indefinitely, Ubisoft has pledged to strive away from AAA titles moving forward. New IP like Roller Champions and the upcoming Skull & Bones is a fair example of what the publisher has for its future emphasis on supporting long-term. You can read the full report by heading here.
