Until Dawn Movie Officially Set For April 2025 Release

The Until Dawn series has been brought back into the spotlight as of late for this Halloween season. Despite the IP sitting dormant for almost a decade, the PlayStation 4 title returned at the beginning of October as a PlayStation 5 & PC remaster. However, the game is tracked to be performing poorly. According to TrueTrophies, the game is estimated to be selling worse than the now-shuttered hero shooter, Concord.

Additionally, PlayStation Pictures is working on a film adaptation for the Supermassive Games title. The movie has enlisted Anabelle: Creation director David F. Sandberg to shoot the film. What’s more, casting includes returning face Peter Stormare also. A more recent development from Sandberg shares that the film has officially completed filming as of late.

Now according to Deadline, Until Dawn plans to hit theaters this April. The film is said to have a proper box office, theatrical release along the line of other PlayStation Production pictures like Gran Turismo & Uncharted before it. Word on when an official trailer has yet to be confirmed, but is expected to arrive potentially before 2025 seeing how soon the film is set to release.

The description for Until Dawn reads: “A group spends the weekend in a ski lodge on the anniversary of their friends’ disappearance, unaware that they are not alone,” according to IMDB. Casting also includes Ella Rubin, Michael Cimino, Ji-young Yoo, Belmont Cameli, Odessa A’zion, and Maia Mitchell.

In a recent report from Deadline also, the upcoming God of War show for Amazon Prime Video is being restructured as three of its executive producers exit the project. Now, Ronald D. Moore is to step in as writer, executive producer, and showrunner. You can read the full report by heading here.
