This summer, Microsoft is slowly dismantling plenty of what defined Xbox slated for later this year. Recently, it was announced Xbox Live is to be no more. Instead, the current Xbox Live Gold subscription is to be replaced by Xbox Game Pass Core. The decision will also do away with Xbox Live Games with Gold starting in September later this fall.
Additionally, Microsoft is to also shutter its storefront on Xbox 360. Yes, Xbox 360 Marketplace will close down next summer in July 2024. Previously, a similar act happened for a list of Xbox 360 titles, but, select backwards compatible games would be accessible via the shared Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S store. Of course, this only applies to legacy-supported titles.
According to Video Game Chronicles, there is more than 220+ games that are to be gone after the axe takes motion next fall. This is applies to digital-only releases; some games are available via physical media via compilation copies. You can read the full list below:

For now, there is little hope seeing these titles find any justice from Microsoft’s bidding. Previously, it was confirmed during the 20th anniversary livestream for Xbox that the 70+ backwards compatibility lineup would be the last of titles supported for the legacy program. Similarly, PlayStation met a similar fate years ago which Video Game Chronicle also organized then too.
However, whilst the stricter Sony planned to enact this on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PlayStation Portable stores, backlash changed course of the execution ultimately. The same is possible for Xbox 360. Before, it was discovered after attempting to increase the price of Xbox Live, the online pushback made the Xbox firm rethink the approach and scrap the idea.
