As many would have hoped, especially me, it ended up not being the case when voice actor Roger Craig Smith told fans to keep an eye out for this past Game Awards show as a bevy of users took his word to potentially poke at the long-awaited reveal for the next Batman title from Warner Bros. Montreal. Instead, the announcement made was of Smith himself motion capturing whilst improving as Apex legends’ character Mirage in a conjoined skit with Game Wards host Geoff Keighley.

The reasoning for the expectation follows atop a string of implications and teases that the Canadian studio has already disclosed with the public for well more than a year now regarding a new Batman title. Most recently, we caught Smith jokingly discussing with employees at Warner Bros. about his involvement on a project that would certainly “violate an NDA,” as Smith would put it.

Regardless, we are still without evidence of the game’s development and must wait patiently for the word to officially break out. In the midst of our patience venture, Warner Bros. Montreal continues to jingle the keys over the Batman Arkham user base with yet another tease. This time posting two unfinished images of a crest on both Facebook and Instagram.

Despite putting the two together, the picture is still left uncompleted. However, Twitter user @Martin Breault_ following the two images surfacing received the image anonymously and managed to piece together the full composition.

And now with the picture completely intact, there still is not much detail to go on. Looking at the image displayed with the bald eagle, some fans speculate this to represent a government agency of sort to be involved of the game. Possibly with correlation of Amanda Waller, the person who is notorious in the DC universe for forming the Suicide Squad, which Warner Bros. Montreal have teased at the end of 2013’s Batman Arkham Origins.

Even more to dissect, a new image have been posted on the studio’s website when visiting the ‘redacted’ page of the domain. The team has been vocal about redacted information since the initial leak in 2018, so this only fuels the speculation of the game’s involvement further.

Viewing the new separate image shows to be withholding more information as each image that was discovered over the past few teases look to take a position in each slot provided. Essentially, and more literally, there are still circles that have to be filled in to understand the full picture of this unannounced title.

What do you think about Warner Bros. Montreal’s line of teases for this new Batman title?
