Wasteland Remastered Slated For Xbox One And PC For Late February

The acquisition of InXile Entertainment dating back to 2018 surely came to be a surprise alongside the finalizing for Obsidian Entertainment to join the Xbox Game Studios family as well. While both companies were involved in the making of the sequel to Interplay Entertainment’s Wasteland, that leaves a burning question as for the original 1988 title.

In a new announcement made by the game’s official Twitter account, InXile Entertainment shares that the original Wasteland will be arriving to both Xbox along with a PC release for the remastered version of the classic RPG.

Slated for late February, players on PC will have more flexibility as the game will be arriving to not only Steam, but also Good Old Games (GOG), and the Windows Store. However, for their console counterparts, owners can expect the game to drop on the Xbox Store alongside Xbox Game Pass for monthly subscribers to the game streaming service. As of yet, there is no word if the title will also be debuting on Xbox Game Pass for PC.

This release come pretty handy for those anticipating the upcoming third installment which is settled to release later in May of this year. Although the Wasteland 2 is out now, it is time for those who have been missing out to finally dig into what founded the interactive RPG landscape.
