It wasn’t specified if the upcoming RPG will be a platform exclusive when the official date is revealed.

The more veteran viewed Obsidian Entertainment will continue to work on their currently unannounced projects alongside the Wasteland developer. We do already know that the possibility of a New Vegas sequel is out of the picture, what come next from the developer will be worth the wait after viewing their track record.

Microsoft mentioned that though the two newly acquired studios have similar characteristics for the games both produce, the two studios “will continue to operate autonomously with their unique talents, IP and expertise”. It’s best to notice that the two RPG-heavy developers were focused to bring more to the PC platform, as stated by Microsoft in the blog post.

Looking back at E3 this year, the acquisition of the two studios bring the overall count to 13 studios.
