World Update XIII For Microsoft Flight Simulator Features Overhaul To The Oceania Territories

Over the past handful of months, Microsoft Flight Simulator has continued to stretch its wings far – especially thanks to the Xbox Series launch previously. In November, the series celebrated its 40th anniversary with a special edition that arrived for the latest installment. Additionally, the new release also welcomed an update for Canada as well then.

Furthermore, Microsoft Flight Simulator also entertained more than 10 million players, Microsoft announced. Of course, Xbox Game Pass is a big player for this milestone as millions across PC as well as console took to the airs. By February this past winter, New Zealand got some attention in the World Update XII patchwork also.

Now this week, Asobo Studio heads over to Oceania for World Update XIII. Even more, Antarctica also welcomes some new points of interest in the latest update. You can read the showcased list below:

“Microsoft Flight Simulator’s World Update XIII includes Polynesia (Hawaii and Easter Island), Melanesia (Fiji, New Caledonia, New Guinea, Indonesia’s West Papua, and the Solomon Islands), the Galapagos Islands and key regions of Antarctica, notably the Antarctic Peninsula,” Microsoft Flight Simulator head Jorg Neumann writes.

“The update provides a total of 13 countries and 28 non-sovereign territories, many with improved resolution that will allow pilots to experience stunning new vistas throughout these regions. The release is based on the latest aerial photographs, satellite imagery, and digital elevation modelling data. There is an updated height field for Hawaii and features the city of Honolulu with dozens of handmade buildings.”
