While Microsoft continues to pursue new avenues for its platform, Xbox Game Pass appears to be the tools to build that bridge. It was only this past month that the Xbox company just welcomed EA Play to Xbox Game Pass for PC which further expands the perks of the monthly subscription service to its users. But, there is still more that the users might find on the platform elsewhere.
In that, Valve-owned Steam might be the next place to welcome Xbox Game Pass. Although the Windows Store version is promising, there are certainly a plentiful amount of players that prefer to remain on Steam and still use the service. The tip comes from a recent Q&A livestream by known leaker Tyler McVicker who told that Valve is pushing the arrangement.

“Is Valve considering a subscription on Steam like Game Pass?” one question asks McVicker upon listening. Where he responds telling that “Valve is trying to get Xbox Game Pass on Steam.” However, he fails to elaborate further on the prospect as for when the service is to arrive or any other similar details on Microsoft’s behalf for the move.
But, it is not to say it is not impossible for its to happen. If those might not recall from this past summer, before the transition to EA Play from EA Access, Valve did tip that the monthly subscription service is coming to Steam – and it is available now. But if Xbox Game Pass can to Steam, then players would most likely need to only pay for the latter, obviously.
As for the future of Xbox Game Pass, there is suspected competition to come from the direction of Sony Interactive Entertainment. While the firm has nodded to pursuing the venture already, God of War creator David Jaffe indicates that the PlayStation company is developing a “counterpunch” to the Xbox service from sources within the company.
