EA Access Is Very Close To Properly Arriving To Steam Thanks To New Teaser On The Storefront

More than half a year ago, publisher Electronic Arts disclosed its plans to separate its games from Valve-owned Steam will cease as many properties under the firm will be coming to the storefront in the coming months. Debuting with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the company told that other anticipated projects such as Apex Legends are amongst the plethora of games to be added later down the line.

In that, Electronic Arts also disclosed that its monthly subscription service EA Access would be offered for Steam users sometime during mid 2020. However, the service has yet to arrive. But according to a new teaser page on Steam, EA Access is fairly soon to arrive to the platform.

“EA Access: coming soon to Steam,” the page reads. “Don’t just get the game. Get more from your game with EA Access – it’s the ultimate game membership for anyone who loves EA Games. Follow EA and you’ll be notified as soon as EA Access is available.”

Previously this June, Electronic Arts during its annual EA Play Live showcase unveiled that nearly five dozen titles were dropped onto Steam. Those title range from Need for Speed: Payback to Dragon Age: Inquisition, and the then-anticipated Command & Conquer Remastered. Among the games available in the Vault already, there are also addition properties up for grabs on EA Access Premier. In that, it was recently disclosed that Sega partnered with EA to offer Sonic Mania among other published releases for the tiered service.

In the latest earnings release provided by Electronic Arts, the firm disclosed that its ambitions to acquire more teams are underway. The publisher sharing to look for a relationship alike with Respawn Entertainment to find a likely candidate for acquisition; essentially segueing to those respected titles hitting the Vault later down the line presumably.
