For many that are up to date on the recent news cycle for Microsoft and its proprietary video game platform Xbox, it should be accustomed to already understand the firm has acquired Bethesda, its arsenal of anticipated properties, and parent company Zenimax Media. With that, accumulating seven new studios to its first-party network of teams, the forecast for new unique releases are already expected to be of what many are patiently waiting for.

Although the discussion of which already-announced entries are to be exclusive to Xbox later on – like The Elder Scrolls VI and Starfield – many are still unaware of what is to be revealed as more projects are still in the making. But while much is still not spared, Xbox head Phil Spencer does show to be excited on what’s to come.

Speaking on the recent Major Nelson Podcast, Spencer touts what he witnessed from Bethesda currently being churned out is an “incredibly exciting time” for fans of the firm.

I have the benefit of knowing the future roadmap and having some insight into the things that have been both announced and unannounced that the teams are working on. It’s an incredibly exciting time for the work that Bethesda’s studios are doing, as they continue with the craft of creating games and also thinking about how our medium of gaming continues to evolve and their role in that.

Already understanding the two major, next-generation titles from Bethesda is underway, details as to what Spencer is referencing is still left undetermined. Howbeit, tossing in some speculation can illustrate what is to come from Bethesda later on. Backtracking to September 2018, Bethesda Vice President Pete Hines disclosed that Wolfenstein III is already planned for Bethesda’s roadmap.

Similarly, it is expected Doom could also be made into a trilogy following the glowing popularity Doom Eternal earlier this year. For now, those interested to learn more about the exciting sequel can read up on Rectify Gaming’s review for the game by heading here.

What are you hoping Spencer is referring to in regards to upcoming Bethesda titles?
