Ubisoft has been planning to release their new free-to-play first-person shooter, XDefiant for a while now as it was supposed to release in the Summer, but it was slightly delayed. The game failed to pass the submission process games go through in order to be approved for launch and Executive Producer at Ubisoft San Francisco, Mark Rubin explained that the game could come out later than September.
A known insider in the Call of Duty space, @TheMW2Ghost reported that XDefiant could launch on October 28, 2023, but even the insider himself seemed a little hesitant. He states that as of now there is a launch event for this month.
I’ve been told that xDefiant looks to be launching October 28th. I’ve been hesitant reporting on this for a little bit as it’s not a game I cover.
It absolutely may change but as of now – there is a launch event for 28th.

Ubisoft has been quiet about this release date, but if this is true we could expect an announcement in the coming weeks or it’s possible they surprise fans with a shadow drop.
XDefiant’s year 1 roadmap consists of 14 maps, 24 weapons, 5 modes, and 5 factions making it an eventful debut for the new first-person shooter.
