For fans that reflect back to the first PlayStation 5 showcase back in June of this year, you might remember that title that developer Young Horses closed the show with: Bugsnax. The title as obscure and confusing as it is reveals to be an appealing an addictive experience just from hearing a sample of the game’s main theme playing.
Scheduled to arrive in the coming holiday season, fans are anticipating that the Octodad studio will be able to ship the game just in time for the release of the new console. In a new trailer revealing the full cast of individuals voicing the bevy of new characters, Young Horses verifies Bugsnax will be arriving the same day as the PlayStation 5.

“Bugsnax takes you on a whimsical adventure to Snaktooth Island, home of the legendary half-bug half-snack creatures, Bugsnax,” the synapse reads from the game’s website. “Invited by intrepid explorer Elizabert Megafig, you arrive to discover your host nowhere to be found, her camp in shambles, and her followers scattered across the island alone… and hungry!”
As for the voice actors involved in portraying the characters in Bugsnax, Young Horses features prominent individuals from video games as well as television and movies. People such as Roger Craig Smith (Sonic Boom), Fred Tatasciore (Overwatch), Max Mittleman (One-Punch Man), and Rick Zieff (Terminator 3).
According to an interview following the announcement of Bugsnax, studio co-founder Phil Tibitoski reveals that the title is a successor of sorts to the absent Ape Escape series on PlayStation. You can read the full report by heading here.
