In the stretch of additions that’s coming to Halo Infinite so far, we already received roughly half of the post-launch plans we know so far. Prior to the game’s release, 343 Industries hinted at plans for Halo Infinite including upcoming events for the entirety of season one. Following December 10th, the major addition to the game includes an influx of game modes including rebranded SWAT, ‘Tactical Slayer’.

Elsewhere, the developer also introduced the first event for the game, ‘Fracture: Tenrai’ which meshes the futuristic shooter with elements of Feudal Japan. The event was also followed by the promised roster of Halo Championship Series packs for users to rep their favorite esports teams. Then in mid-December featured Winter Contingency. Still underway includes Cyber Showdown and Tactical Ops later on.

From a new teaser uploaded on Friday, 343 Industries reveals Cyber Showdown is set to arrive on January 18th next week. You can watch the teaser trailer in the video below:

Additionally, Halo Community Director Brian Jarrard on Twitter also revealed that fixes for Big Team Battle is underway. “The studio is ramping back up this week and I wanted to share a status update on #HaloInfinite BTB: a fix is in testing and readying to go into cert and then into a patch/hot fix. ETA as soon as we have it,” he wrote on Monday.

He adds in a recent quote tweet, “The BTB hotfix has cleared test and is now going through Xbox cert. Barring any issues we’re targeting middle of next week to release. To help make up for the inconvenience we’ll be granting some XP boosts and challenge swaps to players.” Previously, a trademark was registered for the first expansion for Halo Infinite – The Endless. The DLC has yet to receive an expectancy for release.

This week also marks the end of an era for the Halo franchise. After more than a decade, Microsoft has hit the switch on legacy Halo games for Xbox 360. Those games include Halo 3, Halo: Spartan Assault, Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 3: ODST, Halo Wars, and Halo 4. You can read the full report by heading here.
