After a very leaky Monday, Activision basically confirmed a feature in a tweet that evening. They confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Operators, Weapons and Bundles will carry over in “Call of Duty 2023”.

Leaks have shared in the past the the next COD will be Modern Warfare III and it’s planned to release November 10. BobNetworkUK on Twitter shared a load of information for the upcoming Call of Duty sharing it will have the return of Ninja Perk, classic mini map and War Mode from World War II. Bob went on to leak other information that fans of the series would find interesting.

Everything led to Activision making that Tweet and with Sledgehammer Games sharing it also confirms they’re the developers for MW3.

Originally, there wasn’t going to be a new Call of Duty in 2023 and it would’ve just been a $70 expansion for Modern Warfare II. The plans changed and it’ll most likely be Modern Warfare III to release as a brand new game.
