Believe it or not, it was not too long ago that developer Respawn Entertainment welcomed Season 13 – Saviors for Apex Legends. While the game at the time featured support character Newcastle alongside the appreciated Control game mode, fans already countdown for what is next on the roadmap for the ongoing title. Previously, the firm featured the recent Gaiden Event which crosses the games with familiar anime franchises.

Additionally, Apex Legends has been receiving attention on other fronts. For its mobile version on Android & iOS, the game featured its next unique Legend Rhapsody for Season 2 – Distortion. Prior to that, the main Apex Legends also featured new additions such as a new town takeover for Lifeline on Olympus alongside the sizzling Valkyrie heirloom.

This week, Respawn Entertainment unveiled the first gameplay trailer for Season 14 – Hunted alongside how Vantage will perform in the Apex Games coming August 9th. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“At a loss for what to do, unable to return to her planet, and unable to fit into society, Mara’s eye turned to the Apex Games. In it, she saw a situation she understood–survival–and a platform to draw public attention to Xenia’s case. With raised awareness of her wrongful conviction, she took the moniker Vantage to rally support and pressure those in power to set her mother free,” the description for Vantage reads.

More interesting is Apex Legends’ King’s Kanyon is to return the beloved Skull Town in the new season. “One of the most frequent pieces of feedback we hear about Kings Canyon is the overall map size. Over time, Kings Canyon has continued to feel smaller and smaller as the game has evolved. Often this meant squads were too close together in the early and mid game, making it difficult for players to take fights without being interrupted by a third party.

Addressing this was the primary goal of our new POI, Relic,” Senior Level Designer Michael Shannon explains. “With Relic, we saw an opportunity to bring back gameplay that many players loved from the original Kings Canyon, but with a POI more appropriately sized for the overall health of the map. We hope you’ll make some great new memories playing on Relic!”
