So for Apex Legends, the game has illustrated to be a continue-evolving battle royale as it branches out with new weapons, Legends, and game modes. And while the Nemesis AR & Team Deathmatch were introduced, a new addition to the cast of playable characters was absent in the recent seasonal refresh, Season 16 – Revelry. Instead, a major rework to the core components of Respawn Entertainment’s live-service title took place.
Shortly after the release of the newest Season for Apex Legends, the concurrent player count on PC met a new high. Via Steam, it was revealed that Apex Legends has now grossed over 609,000 players. This is a new milestone last achieved back in Season 14 – Hunted with 510,000 players then. Not to mention Respawn Entertainment’s devotion in offering an ongoing experience for decades, senior design director Evan Nikolich told IGN then.
Now on Thursday, Respawn Entertainment revealed the first event, the ‘Imperial Guard Collection Event’ is on the way for March 7th to March 21st and will feature the promised Mixtape Playlist alongside a new first for the game: a “revitalizing” to Heirlooms – this for Wraith with the new ‘Hope’s Dawn’ Kunai. You watch the trailer in the video below:
“The festivities for the 4th Anniversary of Apex Legends continues with the launch of the Imperial Guard Collection Event! Say hello to Mixtape: a permanent playlist featuring a rotation of Team Deathmatch, Control, and Gun Run! It’s the perfect way to take a break from Battle Royale and hone your skills in new ways.” Custom games will also feature the new modes permanently as well.
On the matter of the new ‘Hope’s Dawn’ Heirloom, Respawn Entertainment writes: “Wraith’s Kunai was first added to the game in 2019 with the introduction of Heirlooms. Since then, we have expanded what Heirlooms look and feel like in the game. To bring Wraith’s Heirloom up to a place that’s more in line with our recent Heirloom releases, we’re revitalizing her Kunai and introducing Wraith’s new ‘Hope’s Dawn’ Heirloom!
“Celebrate the 4th Anniversary with this new version of Wraith’s Kunai Heirloom. Hope’s Dawn comes with a host of new details and changes for our Wraith mains—both old and new. Acquiring the new Hope’s Dawn Kunai set will give you access to new animations, VFX, color variations, a new Mythic emote, and a Mythic Banner. Slay in style as you hot drop into our anniversary season!”
