Atomic Heart To Launch February 2023, Ships Day One On Xbox Game Pass

For the longest time, the desire for a new Bioshock game felt lost. That was until December 2019 that 2K announced the formation of Cloud Chamber, an incubation team focused on shipping the next installment for the property. In a later statement from the publisher, it was said the game was still years away from making it to store shelves.

Amid the wait, developer Mundfish slowly pieced together Atomic Heart. The game shares many similarities to Bioshock whilst embracing its Soviet-era inspirations. Previously, the game welcomed listings for Xbox Series X & PlayStation 5 ensuring new consoles can enjoy the game come launch. In a new publishing deal with Focus Entertainment, it also confirmed Atomic Heart is to ship sometime in 2023.

According to a new trailer for Atomic Heart, the wait is not too far away. In that, the game is scheduled to ship come February next year. You can watch the release date trailer in the video below:

“Atomic Heart is an adventure role-playing action game with a closed world, which takes place in an alternative Soviet Union of 1955. Science, equality and fraternity are the main symbols of Freedom in this reality. But what kind of effort does it take to build an ideal society? And what is the price of such a society?” the overview for Atomic Heart reads.

“Will Major of Intelligence ‘P-3’ have to find out what forces are behind the Utopian dream? And what secrets are hidden in the depths of Facility 3826? The truth will have to be paid in blood.” In even more surprising news, Xbox Game Pass users can join in the fun immediately as the game will launch on the service day-and-date.
