Backbone One The Next Peripheral Supported For xCloud Gaming Following iOS Enabled For The Service

Rewinding the tape back to the fall of 2020, Project xCloud officially emerged and dropping the project codename for a the familiar xCloud now. However, Microsoft continues to offer more peripherals for the growing platform now months following the initial release. From 8BitDo, there is a selection of controllers oriented specifically for xCloud gaming. However, there is more as well.

In a separate collaboration with Nacon, the manufacturer developed its own iteration of xCloud-supported controllers as well. Oddly enough, a separate arrangement with OtterBox as well also welcomed a selection of xCloud-oriented products for the service following that as well. So it is presumed other manufacturers will also hop aboard for this xCloud train in due time also.

On Monday, Microsoft announced that the Backbone One will also support xCloud gaming. Already recognized as excellent controllers for iOS, now the same can be applied to Microsoft’s platform as well.

The fan favorite Backbone mobile controller joins the Designed for Xbox family with the Backbone One for Xbox, compatible with all iPhone models with iOS 13 or later. Backbone One transforms your iPhone to make gaming even more enjoyable and effortless.

Elsewhere on Monday, Microsoft also revealed that support is extended to iOS & PC officially. Players across the platforms with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate can now enjoy their titles without the need to play on console or directly install the game on PC with a seamless experience promised by Microsoft.
