Bloober Team’s Next Konami Project Is A Remake For 1999’s Original Silent Hill

Just this past fall, players were engrossed in the Konami release then – Silent Hill 2. Roughly two decades since the original shipped, Konami & Bloober Team delivered on a faithful modern adaptation for one of the most pivotal titles in gaming history. And that was just the tip of the iceberg it appeared following the game’s success then.

This past February, it was revealed that Bloober Team & Konami are to partner once more on another of its IPs. While the Polish game studio has proven to handle to Silent Hill license well, it was not confirmed whether or not Bloober Team would be working with the series again or it would be gripping a new Konami franchise as a result of its resilience & versatility.

On Thursday, Konami held its ‘Konami Press Start Live’ broadcast to speak on its upcoming titles – Silent Hill f & Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. During the presentation, the publisher teased that its new project with Bloober Team will be the same remake treatment for the original Silent Hill. “The dense fog returns! We are thrilled to announce that a SILENT HILL remake project is in the works at Bloober Team, developed in close cooperation with our friends from Konami!” the description for the teaser on YouTube reads. The 1999 classic that invited players into the crippling fog that scarred millions is now on the way. What has yet to be confirmed if it will be a console exclusive alike the 2024 release as of reporting.

Recently, Konami at the most recent State of Play showcase this week revealed that Silent Hill f is officially launching this fall. In the presentation, it was revealed that game is to arrive in September 2025 as a multiplatform release. You can read the full report by heading here.
