Bloober Team, Konami Form Another Partnership Agreement For A New Project With Konami’s IPs

From its original announcement in 2021 that Bloober Team & Konami would collaborate to explore “development of contents and the exchange of know-how”, leading to potentially reviving Silent Hill was a far-reached dream. That was until it was properly announced. In the form of a remake for 2001’s Silent Hill 2, fans that longed for a return to form for Silent Hill were ecstatic.

Coming close to the release for Silent Hill 2, Bloober Team shared players will find more time played than the original. On X, creative director Mateusz Lenart shared that at least double the play time is expected compared to the source material. And, more platforms could be on the way. Already on PlayStation 5 & PC, the chances for Xbox is there with the exclusive window for Silent Hill 2 only being a year according to PlayStation.

Now in a recent development, Konami & Bloober Team share a new Partnership Agreement has been formed to further drive more collaboration between the pair on another of Konami’s IPs.

“The trust built upon the success of SILENT HILL 2 laid the foundation for signing another agreement for a new project. The deal aligns with Bloober Team’s strategic plan to expand its internal development division within a first-party framework,” the press release reads. “Although details of the project remain a mystery, it is confirmed that the game will be based on KONAMI’s intellectual property. KONAMI will continue as both the publisher and rights holder of the game.”

“Our collaboration with KONAMI has been incredibly fruitful, and the success of SILENT HILL 2 speaks for itself. By sharing knowledge and experience, we have been able to create high-quality production together. Of course, we can’t reveal too many details at this time, but we are confident that fans will be just as excited about our collaboration as we are. We can’t wait to share something truly special with players when the time is right,” Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno shares.
