Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War has been reported to be this year’s new Call of Duty game from Treyarch and it will be revealed this June at the Xbox Showcase. Initially, Tom Warren at The Verge reported that we will see Black Ops Gulf War at the Xbox Summer Showcase event and Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson corroborated the report.
According to Insider Gaming, Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War will be revealed prior to Summer Game Fest which will happen on June 7. The showcase for Black Ops Gulf War is reported to feature a deep dive into the game, such as showcasing a campaign mission. Then, Activision would probably show off its multiplayer around late Summer with Zombies being showcased sometime after that.
Tom Henderson also mentions that Xbox might be gearing up for an announcement on its back catalog of games following the Activision Blizzard acquisition and we could see old Call of Duty games be featured at the Xbox Showcase.
Gulf War is expected to release this Fall for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC.
In other Xbox-related news, Gears of War 6 is more than likely getting a tease at this year’s Xbox Games Showcase. It’s unclear if we will learn more about the game besides getting a small glimpse of what it could look like.
At this year’s Xbox Showcase, we should learn about the release dates of Avowed, Indiana Jones, and the Great Circle, and obviously, the new Call of Duty.
