Call of Duty is likely to be The REDACTED Direct following Xbox Showcase

Microsoft has officially announced it will be hosting an Xbox Games Showcase on June 9, 2024. Just like last year, there will be an Xbox Games Showcase followed by a Direct that will exclusively feature one game and for now, they refer to it as The REDACTED Direct. In 2023 we saw a deep dive into Starfield and it seems we will see something similar for the new Call of Duty.

This secret direct seems to have been figured out already based on the teased image Xbox shared online. The emblem they shared was found in the Modern Warfare III files and matched the logo for the REDACTED Direct. Other clues figured are in the bottom right they likely block out the ‘Activision’ logo.

Call of Duty Black Ops: Gulf War is the name

It has already been reported that Call of Duty Black Ops: Gulf War will be the official name of Call of Duty 2024 which should be announced prior to this Direct. The new Call of Duty title will release this Fall with a multiplayer showcase coming in late Summer. The deep dive given at this event in June will give a deep dive into the game’s single-player likely showing a Campaign mission and other features.
