In a new report curated by Video Game Chronicles, the outlet reveals through non-disclosed sources that former PlatinumGames CEO Tetsuya Minami has been confirmed to be operating as head of support studio, M-TWO. The team is most notably known for its efforts working on the approaching Resident Evil 3 Remake.

According to individuals within Capcom, it was shared with VGC that the studio has been operating for more than a year already. Even more, the staff of the Japanese studio is said to be made solely of former Capcom and PlatinumGames developers. The sources go on to confirm Minami’s status in the team and further reveal that the firm is now tasked with a larger project under Capcom.

Based on speculation, many fans have ushered the idea of potential returns to favored franchises from Capcom. However, known insider Dusk Golem or @AestheticGamer1 on Twitter disclosed that this unnamed project is neither Code Veronica nor Dino Crisis.

Dusk Golem is another noteworthy leaker as previously disclosing Konami’s interest into pursuing the Silent Hill franchise once again; which the company enlightened on the idea just recently. Safe to say what this new project might be, it is not the two many would be hoping for unfortunately.

Further in the report, sources disclosed that the initial commencement of M-TWO originally planned for Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami to be involved with the founding of the studio. This claim is supported through the titling of the firm – M-TWO (Minami/Mikami). VGC also tells that the first instance of Minami’s involvement with the team was disclosed in the Resident Evil 3 Remake credits, listing him as an Executive Producer.
