
In late August it was announced that Charles Martinet would be stepping down from doing the voice of Mario, Luigi, Waluigi, and Wario. During that time it was said that a video message featuring Shigeru Miyamoto and Charles would come out and today, Nintendo finally shared it.
During the video message, Charles mentioned he is becoming a Mario Ambassador and will travel around the world sharing the joy of Mario with fans. Miyamoto talked about the early days of getting to know Charles when he first voiced Mario for Super Mario 64 in 1996.

The new voice actor taking over for Charles was not named yet, but it is confirmed that they will be featured in Super Mario Bros. Wonder when it releases on October 20, 2023.
