Death Stranding Confirmed To Receive Photo Mode On Both PC & PlayStation 4

It was not too long ago in November of last year that Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding officially released for PlayStation 4. However, the looming rumor prior to the game’s release suggested that the initial PlayStation exclusive would be receiving a PC port later on in the latter of 2020 was confirmed by the man himself, Hideo Kojima.

While the PC version of the title will still offer the same amount of content the base game included from the fall, keyboard & mouse users can take advantage of visual and performance enhancements that even the PlayStation 4 Pro cannot push out. But there is one more aspect only unique to the port; that was until now.

The PC version for Death Stranding initially was said to launch with the newly added Photo Mode that players can utilize to capture their greatest experiences with in-game. But now in a recent announcement, PlayStation 4 owners can enjoy the feature as well.

Although the announcement was made today, Kojima Productions has disclosed that more information on the matter will be shared later on to reveal when exactly Photo Mode will be arriving to PlayStation 4. “We are doing the final checks right now and trying to make it happen at the end of this month’s update,” Kojima shares elsewhere on Twitter.

As odd as it may be that Death Stranding never launched with the feature in the first place, the way that Kojima Productions is implementing it is not foreign. Back in December Rockstar Games did the same for Red Dead Redemption 2: launching the exclusive mode for PlayStation 4 and later shipping it to Xbox One in the following month.

Do you plan on returning to Death Stranding to take advantage of the new Photo Mode or wait until the PC version arrives?

Death Stranding is out now for PlayStation 4; coming to PC on June 2, 2020.
