Currently, it is still expected that Sony is waiting out for Microsoft to pitch the retail pricing for the Xbox Series X so that the Japanese firm can launch a cost-efficient alternative with the PlayStation 5. However, this seems to be a double-edged sword for the company as they will have to decide between that following the already hefty $450 production fee for manufacturing the next-generation unit.
