In the past week, many fans grew overly excited for the coming DC Fandome slated later this August as developer Rocksteady Studios unveiled its next project in line for the DC Comics Universe. After a painstakingly five year wait after Batman: Akrham Knight of no details for the firm’s newest title, the team teased its next project to be a Suicide Squad game.

However, while DC Comics themselves said there will be an emphasis on coming interactive entertainment that will be featured during the online event, Rocksteady Studios’ title might not be the only hallmark announcement at the show. Expanding on that idea, many users are convinced that NetherRealm Studios will be present to unveil the next Injustice installment.

After three years since the last project, Injustice 2, users are hungry for a third game. On Twitter, Ed Boon – founder for NetherRealm Studios and the Mortal Kombat franchise – disclosed he will be present at the coming DC Fandome, but his reasons as for why is unknown.

Howbeit, lending additional leeway to the plausibility for the alleged Injustice 3 is currently left unverified. While followers are surely anticipating the chances of the game to be present at the virtual show, there is unfortunately no convincing evidence which suggest the game is underway for reveal. So, to be safe for your sanity, it is best rank this speculation simply as conjecture until properly disclosed.

While there is no background information pointing towards the next Injustice game for DC Fandome, the Senior Writer for Suicide Squad briefly expanded on the coming project. In that, Kim MacAskill told her followers on Twitter that the game she has been very involved in will surely be a comical experience. This comes as a surprise as it takes a turn from the grimmer Arkham series Rocksteady Studios is associated with. You can read the full report by heading here.
