In the short amount of time that InnerSloth’s Among Us has climbed in popularity, the game has swiftly translated to more platforms since. While grabbing traction upon its debut for PC, we are already experiencing the release on Nintendo Switch as well now. Additionally, 2021 also forecasts both Xbox alongside PlayStation to expect dedicated versions come the latter parts of this year also.

But, the game is also starting to influence other titles to follow in the same route as its structured objective it appears. In a new reveal trailer from Epic Games, the Fortnite company reveals a new game mode titled ‘Imposters’ is hitting free-to-play game and heavily follows the same structure as that from developer InnerSloth. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:

“The facilities powering The Bridge are a well-oiled machine, and it’s up to Agents of the Imagined Order to keep it that way,” the overview for the new mode reads. “Complete Assignments like calibrating chests and llamas, repairing the Battle Bus, and delivering Storm reports for analysis. Finish your Assignments quickly and be on the lookout for dubious Impostors or eliminated allies. Complete all Assignments or vote out all Impostors and claim victory for IO.

“Work together to root out anyone masquerading as a fellow Agent, but trust nobody completely — anyone could be an Impostor. If you find a fellow Agent’s eliminated fragment, report it! Everyone will be teleported to The Bridge where you can inform Agents who you suspect might have betrayed the IO and vote them out.”

Alike Among Us as well, players that can determine which double agent player is the ‘Imposter’ can then poll all players to vote out which character has gone rogue in the new game mode. In terms of Fortnite announcements, Epic Games previously held an online concert featuring Ariana Grande. You can read the full report by heading here.

Are you surprised by the addition of the new ‘Imposters’ mode?

Fortnite is out now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
