From the initial release of Fallout 76 that its fans were introduced to then at the time, the game has certainly involved into a more impressive state over the years since the developer reworked the project. Just this past year, we witnessed the two-part expansion welcoming the Brotherhood of Steel to the Appalachian Wasteland with ‘Steel Dawn’ alongside ‘Steel Reign’ arriving to the game.
Additionally, Bethesda Game Studios went on to also hint at more additions for the game. At the same time shipping the second addition of its planned expansion, the team teased that Fallout 3 DLC The Pitt is to be reintroduced as an expedition for the online experience. Prior to the reveal, one dataminer uncovered the same expedition with assets for Washington D.C. which was the initial setting for Fallout 3.
This week the developer returned with the full roadmap for Fallout 76’s 2022 content plans and now we learn expeditions will be a major focus coming later this fall. You can view the full roadmap in the image below:
In the announcement post, Associate Content Manager Peter Wilhem elaborates on Fallout 76’s plans for each divided season. “Appalachia is besieged by otherworldly forces in Invaders From Beyond, featuring all-new Public Events and even random encounters (of a third kind) as you fend off the alien threat with your teammates. Spring will also see a Fallout Worlds update adding the ability to earn SCORE, plus the release of Season 8: A Better Life Underground!
“Don your best armor, weapons and Perk Cards and step into battle! New Public Events arrive in Appalachia, including Test Your Metal – featuring arena fights against deadly automatons! This summer also includes upgrades to Fallout 1st scoreboard progression and a new Season. Go beyond Appalachia’s borders in Expeditions: The Pitt! Visit post-nuclear Pittsburgh and take on new Missions , engage with new NPCs, battle new foes and of course, earn new rewards . In addition to The Pitt, players can also look forward to a new Season to boot!
“The Fizziest Show on Earth comes to Appalachia! Nuka World on Tour introduces a traveling roadshow making a stop in the area, toting along a new Season, Public Events and region boss! Step on up, you won’t want to miss out on the fun.” In other recent Fallout news, the coming Prime Video TV series casted Walton Goggins as its lead reportedly to play a ghoul.
