In the ongoing arc surrounding the expanding Fallout 76 experience, developer Bethesda Game Studios is planning to push the boundaries of the Appalachian Wasteland for new vistas moving forward. Originally, you may recall a datamine was uncovered revealing the expedition mode with Washington D.C. assets in the discovery. It was in a later trailer that the developer teased the mode for Fallout 3 DLC The Pitt instead.

Currently, it is presumed that District Columbia is still planned for a separate yet larger expedition later in the future. Additionally, Bethesda Game Studios in a more recent roadmap this winter slated the upcoming update for Fallout 76 to be aimed for this fall. The content layout also included automaton battle arenas and a traveling Nuka Cola roadshow as well.

At the Xbox + Bethesda Showcase, Bethesda Game Studios shares fresh footage for The Pitt with a release window aimed for this September. You can watch the gameplay trailer in the video below:

“Expeditions send players to a city built on the remains of post-nuclear Pittsburgh, now known only as The Pitt. Don’t expect the friendliest welcome, however, as the local Union faction are caught between vicious Raiders, monstrous Trogs and other hostile forces,” Bethesda Content Manager Peter Wilhelm writes.

“Expeditions offer repeatable Missions for any player to go on, netting rewards like XP, loot and even legendary items! While anyone can join an Expedition, things can get pretty rough-‘n’-tumble in The Pitt, so we recommend at least achieving Level 50 or higher for the best experience.”

What are you most excited about The Pitt soon to arriving to Fallout 76?

The Pitt will launch for Fallout 76 sometime in September 2022 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PC.
