Although the game’s announcement took place more than two years ago, it was for some time that developer FromSoftware remained silent on the new project that is Elden Ring. In collaboration with Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin, fans swelled with excitement as each month went by hungry for new details. It was until Summer Game Fest this June that a January 2022 release date was given for Elden Ring at the time.
Previously, however, continuous claims arose indicating that there is an off chance that Elden Ring could be delayed further than anticipated. But, the solidified set date for the game from the trailer appeared to relieve stress from that possibility. However, it was still plausible if it became a dire need for FromSoftware to postpone the launch for extra time.
On Monday, the developer via Twitter told that Elden Ring is now scheduled to release in late February. “The depth & strategic freedom of the game exceeded initial expectations,” FromSoftware told in the post.
Elsewhere, FromSoftware also reveals closed testing for Elden Ring will be held next month in November. The Network Test is to be held in five sessions, which are: November 12th from 3:00 AM PST to 6:00 AM PST, November 12th from 7:00 PM PST to 10:00 PM PST, November 13th from 11:00 AM PST to 2:00 PM PST, November 14th from 3:00 PM PST to 6:00 PM PST, November 14th from 7:00 PM PST to 10:00PM PST.
To sign-up for the Network Test, you have the option to choose for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Additionally, FromSoftware also asks what previous titles from the developer you also played alongside providing an email address. Sign-ups will be available until November 1st.
