For many of its legacy games, Capcom continues to feature modern console ports of its most defining titles. Alongside new installments for its latest IP like Street Fighter and Devil May Cry, the publisher acknowledges its other billboard series. Previously, a trademark was filed for Ace Attorney which points towards another trilogy for the latter trio of titles; installments 4-6.
Additionally, the firm is not shy to integrating similar collections for other IP. In fact, Mega Man has been one series to continue pioneering legacy collection releases over the past handful of years. The next project underway is the long-requested Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection. The bundle is slated to release in April 2023 later this spring.
In the most recent Nintendo Direct, Capcom has answered to another outcry for one nostalgic release – Ghost Trick. In that, Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective was announced to release this summer. You can watch the gameplay trailer in the video below:
“‘Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective’ was created by Shu Takumi, the creator of the Ace Attorney series, and is now back in a long-requested HD remaster of the original 2010 release! Yasumasa Kitagawa, the popular composer who created the music for ‘The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles,’ has created a remastered 1-to-1 soundtrack for the entire game,” the Nintendo eShop page reads.
“Players can seamlessly switch between the original and remastered soundtracks. Additionally, new extra features such as the ‘Illustrations’ and ‘Music’ features have been added. Tonight, we rise from the dead!” What has you most excited for Ghost Trick returning to modern consoles?
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is set to arrive sometime in summer 2023 for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
