While 2022 remains a fairly vacant year for Microsoft, the Xbox firm is not completely out of ammunition in terms of releases that is. From developer Obsidian Entertainment, the Fallout: New Vegas studio is preparing some content for this fall. At the Xbox + Bethesda Showcase in June, the firm revealed Pentiment which is preparing to arrive this November.
But, the team has also remained occupied with its ongoing live-service title Grounded. Just this past May, the team shipped the latest ‘The Bugs Strike Back’ update for the game with more entailed for the latter half of the year, In that, the team expresses excitement for Grounded to face its full release exiting early access later this year.
In a new announcement, Obsidian Entertainment announces Grounded is prepped to launch this coming September in a new video. You can watch the content below:
“We’re super excited about it,” says Grounded game director Adam Grenike. “We have a couple months left of development; we’re putting the final touches on everything; it’s gonna be our biggest update ever. […] One thing we have that isn’t ready today, but it’s a secret feature that we’ll be talking about shortly […] we call it the Home Stretch and that kinda sets the stage for- getting everything ready for our 1.0 release.”
Additionally, Grounded had other exciting news this month. In a report from Deadline, the Xbox Game Studios title is being adapted into an animated television series. More impressively is that Brett Friedman (Star Wars: Clone Wars, Star Trek: Enterprise) will be involved with production for the show. You can read the full report by heading here.
