Lego & Nintendo Reveals New Super Mario 64 Question Mark Set

In a yearly tradition at this point, Lego and Nintendo continue to collaborate to project a new sense of entertainment by combining both of its assets into new collectible merchandise for its consumers respectively. In 2019, the two companies introduced the Super Mario Starter Set which officially branched Super Mario to the world of Lego with a new twist – a Bluetooth-enabled minifigure.

Additionally, the pair featured two ventures in 2020: firstly welcoming the Nintendo Entertainment System Lego set which featured pieces for the titular Nintendo console and a television set to complete the set. Later on did the two introduce the Luigi Starter Set which expanded on the sibling set even further.

“Are you ready to find Princess Peach?  Open the LEGO Super Mario 64 ? Block and here we go!” reads the description for the new trailer from Lego. Yes, Super Mario 64 is receiving its own Lego set and will feature an opening Mario Block that projects some of the worlds playable in the game. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

“Rekindle fond memories as you build, display and play with the LEGO® Super Mario 64™ ? Block (71395),” Lego writes for the set’s overview. “Twenty-five years on from the launch of the Super Mario 64 video game, this set features a brick-built ? Block that opens to reveal instantly recognizable levels from the game: Peach’s Castle, Bob-omb Battlefield, Cool, Cool Mountain and Lethal Lava Trouble. There are also 10 microfigures of iconic characters to place in the detailed scenes.”

Featuring more than 2,000 pieces, Lego goes on to share that both Mario & Luigi Starter Courses are compatible with the set. “Add a LEGO Mario or LEGO Luigi figure from the 71360/71387 Starter Courses (sold separately) and collect 10 hidden Power Stars to reveal secret reactions and more.”
