From developer Traveller’s Tales, the team responsible for the ongoing lineage of Lego video games remain adamant on shipping the latest project, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. From its last trailer, it is revealed that the game is coming along swimmingly. But, the original Lego Star Wars IP has evolved beyond what many players were introduced to decades before. 2022 also marks more than two years since the original announcement of the game.
Since the unveiling in 2019, the developer kept its quiet state until revealing an October 2020 release date. However, that was later pushed to spring 2021 the year following. But, it was not long before that timeframe was negated and left undated for a handful of years. However, the last trailer for the game revealed spring 2022 to be its definite release window.
In a new trailer on Thursday, April is when players should prepare for a new Lego Star Wars experience. You can watch the new in-depth LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga gameplay trailer in the video below:
“Firstly, we want to thank you all for your understanding and patience around the delay. Not only, like other studios, were we affected by the global pandemic, but we wanted to make sure that this would not only be the biggest LEGO Star Wars game but the best,” the team writes in the announcement post.
“As you can see from the trailer our team has put together an amazing experience, with new and improved systems to our other LEGO games, the ability to traverse the Star Wars galaxy freely, and access to all three trilogies. We have been able to do this and still keep our signature LEGO humour that we love.”
