Although many other games before it set in the shared universe or genre, Life is Strange: True Colors was a surprise to learn that the game is not shipping with a 60 frames per second mode – especially for the newest Xbox & PlayStation leaves fans surprised. It was not until developer Deck Nine Games stated the decision to be intentional for “cinematic fidelity” for the overall experience being a seamless 30 refresh the entire playthrough.
Assumably, that did not go over as a valid argument from the game studio since most releases in recent age for the newest hardware offer a higher performance threshold. In a new announcement from the developer, the Xbox Series X & PlayStation 5 versions are finding new enhancements from the latest update that went on this week.
On Monday, Deck Nine Games shares that both platforms are to receive visual and performance upgrades for Life is Strange: True Colors. “High Resolution / High Performance (up to 60fps) mode/s toggle added,” the description reads for both platforms in the update. PC also goes to receive HDR support which is already enabled on the latest console systems.
In terms of other additions to Life is Strange: True Colors in recent days, Deck Nine Games officially delivered the Life is Strange: True Colors – Wavelengths DLC. The add-on follows Chloe’s friend Steph as she hosts a radio show in the new setting of Haven Springs. The content is also being investigated instability as well, the studio shares.
Elsewhere, Dj2 Entertainment is said to be working with Shawn Mendes & Anonymous Content to produce the ongoing Life is Strange live-action TV series. The two additions are said to produce the new television show as Mendes oversees all music for the new production. You can read the full report by heading here.
