At the start of the month, Microsoft made several promises to further support its intangible initiatives for its video game division. Firstly, Xbox Game Pass is to benefit greatly with the addition of new dedicated apps for the service. In that, the Xbox company will converse with television manufacturers to work on bringing native support to smart TVs in the coming future.
Additionally, xCloud is to also find enhancements as well with a separate device for the feature that will not require an Xbox to play games on any display. The cloud streaming service is also told to find more support for browsers & the Xbox App on PC in the coming weeks. Servers overall were also told to find Xbox Series X upgrades fairly soon as well. “We’re in the final stages of updating our Microsoft datacenters around the world with our latest generation of hardware, the Xbox Series X.”
Xbox Wire Editor-in-Chief continues, “This means gamers will see faster load times, improved frame rates, and experience Xbox Series X|S optimized games.” On Tuesday, The Verge’s Tom Warren indicates that the update has gone live with new enhancements now available for select xCloud-enabled titles.

For xCloud more recently, Microsoft did discuss the features compatibility for console. While xCloud is technically available for Xbox Insiders with the Chronium version of Microsoft Edge on console, the feature is also said to hit Xbox One natively. Moreover, the feature would go on to enable Xbox Series X games for the last-generation system, the firm explained.
This week, the largest reveal for xCloud happens to be the new path for exclusive releases for the platform. While fairly young, Microsoft announced to be kicking off a new initiative for teams to make unique releases to tap into the market of 3 billion users. You can read the full report by heading here.
