In the efforts to make cross-play more ambiguous, Fortnite continues to bridge that gap. While the Epic Games title is the one to pioneer platforms from sharing the same in-game lobbies just a few years back, that initiative has went on to make the ambitious the new normal with games such as Apex Legends, Call of Duty, and Rocket League part of that. Even more is when the firm began incorporating skins for its game.

From PlayStation as well as Xbox, we witnessed iconic protagonists make it to the ongoing battle royale experience. Last year, both Halo’s Master Chief & God of War’s Kratos enter the game respectively. Additionally, Horizon Zero Dawn’s Alloy made her debut as well. With the launch of Chapter 3 for the game, Marcus Fenix & Kait Diaz from Gears of War is also added too most recently.

Now in a new rumor from XboxEra’s @Shpeshal_Nick, Microsoft is still interested in delivering more skins to the Epic Games venture when speaking on a recent podcast. You can watch the segment in the video below:

“I’m being told that Microsoft is putting- there’ll be more Microsoft/Bethesda characters coming to Fortnite. Now I’m not going to spoil all of them, there’s only one that I’m going to mention because I have a friend who’s a massive, massive fan of this franchise and that is Doom. I’ve been told Doom Slayer will be coming to Fortnite.”

While the latter additions are left a secret, Doom Slayer makes the most sense with the current state of another industry collaborative release. Over on Nintendo Switch, Doom Slayer starred as a Mii Costume for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in the last major add-on drop with the inclusion of Kingdom Heart’s Sora previously.

As for other additions, we can continue to look at the Nintendo IP as the Xbox company welcomed Minecraft’s Steeve, the titular Banjo-Kazooie as well as The Elder Scrolls V’s Dovahkin and Fallout’s Vault Boy as Mii Costumes as well. Beyond that will be new for the world when the announcement arrives.

What crossover are you most hopeful to see come to Fortnite?
