In the recent reign of content for Monster Hunter Rise, the game faces a continuous pipeline of add-ons from other Capcom properties throughout the publisher’s repertoire. Earlier this we already witnessed Okami influence its way into the March release alongside Street Fighter also making a surprise appearance later on as well.
This week in fact, Capcom goes on to feature Mega Man 11 for the next collaboration. In that, Rush from the game will be an unlock for Palamute to equip upon finishing the event’s quest. However, there is also hopes that a major expansion for the game is to be brewing for Monster Hunter Rise – similar to how Capcom offered it for Monster Hunter World with Iceborne years before.
During the recent Nintendo Direct livestream is where Capcom returned with a new announcement for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:
“Sink your teeth into a teaser for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, coming Summer 2022. This massive paid expansion pack to Monster Hunter Rise brings new stories, locales, monsters, hunting actions & quest rank,” the trailer’s description reads revealing on the upcoming expansion for Monster Hunter Rise.
While there is still a fresh amount of time since the reveal, Capcom has yet to address what exactly will be included in the complete add-on next year. Of course, there is still plenty of time before the DLC officially releases. Leading up to that is a planned release for the game on PC that Capcom Japan Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto and Capcom Japan Director Yasunori Ichinose confirmed earlier this year.
