Monster Hunter World Iceborne Expansion Plowed For September Release

Yet another anticipating reveal from this past State of Play on Thursday revealed that the upcoming snow-covered Iceborne expansion for Monster Hunter World will be dropping in late Summer on September 6th.

Previously, Capcom initially aimed for the forthcoming expansion to drop sometime in “Autumn 2019”, but fans have lucked out as the game will be dropping just before the seasonal shift into Fall. In the gameplay trailer for the expecting downloadable content, on top of the fresh layer of snow that both players and monsters will be able to experience for the first time in the game, Capcom has also revealed the new monster Nargacuga in action.

Icebourne’s release date has also debuted a new iteration of the 2018 action-adventure which includes the base game bundles with the new expansion with the nametag ‘Monster Hunter World: Icebourne Master Edition.’ A digital deluxe edition of this has also been announced which will include a bundle of in-game cosmetics for players to decorate their character and room.

Pre-order for Iceborne is available now and those who participate in paying ahead will also receive the “Yakumo” layered armor set as a free bonus.

Unlike its console counterparts, the PC version of the game has been said to receive the September-aimed DLC in the following months, potentially by 2020. You can read our review for the PC version of Monster Hunter World here.

Monster Hunter World is out now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
