Prior to the events of this ongoing pandemic, it was revealed back in January that pre-production for the second season of Netflix’s The Witcher is soon to arrive. The details on the aforementioned follow-up set of episodes were disclosed by lead actor Henry Cavill in an Instagram video. The post entailed that more on the show would be unveiled in the coming future.
However, the information that followed might not greet everyone the way they wished to hear. In that, it was shared that production for season 2 would not commence for a couple more weeks as the novel coronavirus began taking the globe by storm and precautionary measures were put into place on most of society. But as told, production did eventually commence for the return to the show.
And while new information on season 2 is still kept to a minimum, Netflix has new details on a related project. The entertainment streaming platform announced that a short, spin-off series set before the events of the original show will be arriving in the coming future.
