Retracing our steps back to the middle of July, entertainment streaming platform Netflix unveiled that another unique anime adapted from a video game series will be arriving to its library sometime later this fall. In the announcement, the firm shared that Capcom-owned Dragon’s Dogma will be that show with a few images to glance at for what fans can expect when the first season ships later this autumn.

And as expected ahead of the series’ debut scheduled to hit in the coming weeks this September, Netflix has shared the first full-length trailer for the new series. You can watch the official trailer in the video below:

“After losing his home to a dragon, Ethan sets out to hunt it down once and for all. A pawn appears by his side and serves to protect his life,” the synopsis reads in the video’s description. “But the dangers that lie in wait for Ethan are beyond their imaginations, for when you fight a monster… you just may become one too.”

For those who might not be following the continuous reports circulating around Netflix, the firm continues to establish agreements with several video game publishers to create adaptations for the anime medium. Most recently, it was disclosed that John Wick Writer Derek Kolstad is involved in working on two seasons for an upcoming Splinter Cell series exclusive to Netflix. The production has yet to be properly announced.

What is most surprising is that the Dragon’s Dogma anime is shipping before another prolific Capcom property. It was reported back in November 2018 that Devil May Cry will be receiving its own series with Castlevania Producer Adi Shankar to helm the production. You can read the full report by heading here.

Are you planning on binging Dragon’s Dogma when it arrives next month?

Dragon’s Dogma ships to Netflix on September 17, 2020.
