
When Studio MDHR’s Cuphead officially launched, the 1930’s artistic choices and hand-drawn animation instantly drew players in despite the growing difficulty curve that came with the game. But it came to be a larger surprise learning that the new classic is being adapted into a television series so soon. The Cuphead Show in partnership with Netflix would bring the beloved Cuphead & Mugman with its Walt Disney-like charm just like the game.
It was this past February that Season 1 for The Cuphead Show released offering a dozen 15-minute episodes for Netflix users. Even more surprising is learning that Netflix is already preparing to release another batch of episodes with Season 2 confirmed. Moreover in that is learning the company plans to release it come this summer.
In a new trailer uploaded, it is revealed Season 2 for The Cuphead Show is set to arrive on August 19th later this month. You can watch the trailer in the video below:
“THE CUPHEAD SHOW! follows the unique misadventures of loveable, impulsive scamp Cuphead and his cautious but easily swayed brother Mugman,” the brief overview for the animated TV reads from the trailer’s description. Earlier this summer, Studio MDHR officially launched the long-awaited Delicious Last Course add-on for Cuphead.
Even the DLC for the original game took many by surprise – similar to the short wait for Season 2 of the television series releasing. In that, The Delicious Last Course within its first two weeks already sold more than 1 million copies. You can read the full report by heading here.
