While Cyberpunk 2077 arrived more than a year ago now, fans patiently await the next-generation update for the game. Despite the state of the game when it shipped in December 2020, chatter remains for the native versions on Xbox Series X|S & PlayStation 5. In January last year, the team in a statement told the ports would be pushed to fall 2021. However, that promise did not last long.
In a later update, we were then told by CD Projekt Red late 2021 would be the projected window. But even then it was too soon for that promise. The team went on to address early 2022 is paved for the next-gen versions alongside The Witcher 3’s update is mid 2022. Despite the setbacks, the firm is adamant to continue supporting Cyberpunk 2077 as it pledged from a previous statement.
On Tuesday, CD Projekt Red has shared its plans to fulfill that long-awaited promise as the next-generation versions for Cyberpunk 2077 comes out today. You can watch the gameplay footage in the video below:
“With the update, #Cyberpunk2077 takes advantage of the additional power of the newest generation of console hardware, allowing for ray tracing features and 4K with dynamic scaling, faster loading times, and a variety of other visual and technical improvements,” the description for the video reads.
Additionally, the livestream CD Projekt Red hosted features some of the additions coming to the game. Elements including improved AI alongside quality of life improvements are added. Namely, the firm also goes on to press additional content being included as well. For one, apartments has been stretched out to include new designs alongside additional locations to purchase for rent.
By extension, romance partners once befriended are said to also include their homes as a safe house from the livestream. Also, Cyberpunk 2077 is to include new improved customization options as well for your character. At Wilson’s weapon shop in your home megablock also welcomes new weapons to choose from too.
