The Nintendo Switch 2 has been rumored to be released in late 2024 being a more powerful upgrade to the current Nintendo Switch model. According to Japan-based analyst, Dr. Serkan Toto, the Switch 2 will launch at $400.00 and did say a “Nintendo Switch Pro did exist at one point.
The analyst also said there is a chance Nintendo’s games could start charging $70 for its games like it already did for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom.
Here is what Dr. Seran Toto said (Thanks VGC):
“The time is finally here for a Switch successor, even though I can say a ‘Pro’ model actually did exist and certain developers were already working with the dev kit,” Toto wrote. “I believe the next hardware will drop [in 2024] for $400. There is a high chance that games will cost more, too: $70.”
According to Dr. Serkan Toto, Nintendo’s next console will be an iteration rather than a revolution like the Switch initially was.
“The next system is also likely to be an iteration rather than a revolution. Nintendo might add some bells and whistles to the device, but it will be similar to the current Switch.
As of now according to recent reports, the Switch 2 is referred to as “NG” internally and its release is planned for September 2024. It was leaked a few months ago that the new Nintendo console would release with the Final Fantasy VII Remake, a camera feature, and that it would be backward compatible.
