Expanding ones platform with first-party developers is surely a way to go when creating new and unique properties that could usher sales for the respected hardware. Looking at Oculus, it was expected with the announcement of Beat Saber team Beat Games to be acquired by the Facebook subsidiary last year seeing the monumental achievement in commercial sales the rhythmic game has racked in since its conception.

However, it looks that the leading virtual reality manufacturer is not finished as of yet as another team will be residing under the Oculus’ cowl. In a new blog post, the firm announces that The Order: 1886 developer Ready At Dawn has been acquired by Oculus.

As part of the Oculus Studios team, Ready At Dawn will continue creating memorable, immersive, and innovative VR content for gamers around the world as an independently-operated studio. We’re thrilled to welcome them to the family.

Now with support in line from Oculus’ endless resources backed by Facebook, the firm shares that the team is still currently underway for Lone Echo II which was already scheduled to launch exclusively on Oculus Rift. Lone Echo is a story-driven, VR experience based in the universe of the team’s esports release, Echo Arena.

While Oculus fails to elaborate on what exactly will be shipping from Ready At Dawn aside from the announced sequel, the firm does expand on more projects in bound for Oculus Quest. In that, the company tells that “Ready At Dawn will continue to support and iterate on that franchise [Echo]. So it is expected that Lone Echo II will hit the Oculus Quest Store alongside potential unique entries only intended for the wire-free peripheral.

This now marks the second time that Oculus has acquired a firm involved with Sony Interactive Entertainment unique properties. It was reported back in February that the Oculus recruited Sanzaru Games, the studio most recently responsible for the Sly Cooper series with 2013’s Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.
